We will remember them....

Hello!

I'm Poppy, I wonder if you can think why Wayne and Jo called me that?!

As you might know, My Sisters, Brothers & I were born on 11th November 2008 (11/11/2008) which is remembrance day.

It's a special day for us all to remember the hero's from The Great Wars and also the Hero's from today serving both in Afghanistan, Iraq and other places where the British and Coalition forces are currently based.

I was also the first pup to come from my mummy, so I got that special name.

I can't really tell you that much about what's been going on these last few weeks. I only really started to see the other day, but Wayne is always checking up on us and giving us all some new food to eat.

I hope, my new owners keep my name I have been given, but I guess it won't matter if they don't, I have become quite attached to it tho.

Right I think mummies coming back to feed me, so I best get going.

See you all soon and always remember those brave men and women serving us all at home and abroad.

Hi I'm Mick (or Alfie to my new owners)

Oh Hello!

As you can see from the post title Wayne & Joanne have called me Mick (I have no idea why?!?!)

But.... Some nice people came to visit me from Stafford a few days ago. I really liked the new Mr and Mrs, they wanted to take me home that very day. But, I am just too young to leave Holly my mummy just yet.

Wayne & Joanne fed me a few wheatabix yesterday, I think mum is fed up of my keep drinking milk, I am after all the biggest in the litter, but I guess big lads like me love their food!

I might try a bit more later on, I got a whiff of mummies dinner the other day, so I really have got to build up so I can have a bit of that,

Anyways I'll catch you guys later, I'm starving !

Ciao

Mick !

Sorry we havn't been about....

Hey Ho!

We're all very sorry for the delay in posting. We have been very busy, feeling our feet and getting to know whats been going on around us. Let me introduce myself. I'm Max, one of the 10 puppies that my mummy Holly had a few weeks ago.

As you can see from my picture up there, I might have grown a little bit since you first saw the birth pictures.

For the last few weeks a lot has changed, apart from living blind and deaf for the first three weeks, I have grown a lot!.

I couldn't hear a thing nor see anything, so to me I didn't know what awaited me in this world. This week I thought it was about time I opened my eyes to the big wide world and see my 4 other brothers and 5 sisters for the first time.

We have all been doing a lot of exploring, recently, finding our way around our little world, it's been great.

I have a funny feeling that I'll be staying behind when the others have gone to new homes as Wayne and Joanne, keep telling people this is our newest member of the family Max to people that come to visit.

Wayne as I speak is taking pictures of the others to post up so watch this space.

Love and Peace

This is Little Annie

Hello, Holly here :)

I'm posting a little late again this week, I have been very busy you know!

On the picture above is Annie (It's only her nickname) she was the poorly one of my litter and the picture is when she was first born as you can tell.

I wanted to let you all know that she is getting on really well now, Wayne & Jo has been feeding her on Calf's milk to see if she'll pick up, and I'm so proud to tell you that she has.

She's started to drink a lot more from me, but still needs help from the humans, I'm very happy that they took over otherwise she might not have made it.

If she keeps this up she'll almost be as big as the others.

When the pups came I forgot to tell you how many of each I had. Well here's the news I have 5 little girls and 5 little boys!

I'll pop back tomorrow morning, where I'll post you the week old pictures of the pups to show you how much each one of them has grown.

See you soon

It was just one of those weekends.....

Hello you lot,

You may have noticed I didn't post at the weekend, I needed a well deserved rest away from the pups and everyone else for that fact.

There was a party going on in the house on Friday night, lots of people here, and I was just looking with my sad eyes so that people would throw me bits of food (suckers, works everytime).

The boys and girls are doing excellent, apart from one, Wayne and Joanne has had to feed it for me for some reason it just won't feed correctly from me, I know they will do a great job of it so I am glad they are here to help me at times.

We have moved out of the basket (I told you we'd outgrow it) into a big special box for me and the pups, It keeps them contained so I don't have to worry about them running off.

A human called Fletch came around last night to see the pups and I, I like Fletch he bring me food too, although I must mention I do get fed well at home, I just like what they have sometimes.

Mentioning all that food has made me hungry, speak soon x

They are a thirsty lot....

Good Morning,

We're all doing fine today, I'm glad Wayne is keeping me and the pups close by at night because sometimes I forget where one has gone and he goes to find it for me. One had even jumped out of our bed and had gone half way across the bedroom floor!

I'm wondering how big their bellies are, all they seem to do is drink! I have been able to leave them on there own for half an hour this morning which was pure bliss, they were fast asleep in their basket so I decided to jump on the bed with Wayne & Joanne for some attention of my own.

They also look bigger somehow, even tho they are only three days old they seem to be fattening out which is good, Just show's they are healthy.

I overheard some plans to cordon off part off living room and bedroom for us to sleep at night, we're all going to outgrow this basket soon I think, hopefully will give me some room to stretch out at night.

Time for their morning feed anyway, so I'll check back later.

Bye for now.

We're all doing just fine....

Hello you lot!

It's just over 24 hours ago since these little tykes came along, and don't I know it. They want to keep me awake all night which to be honest I was kind of expecting.

You should see what I'm eating.... The humans have been giving me lots of rich food to eat, like lots of meats and even more milk, I need it tho because the little ones are ALWAYS hungry and I do after all need to provide for them. All ten are doing excellent, although they can't see me yet, they know I am about and always cuddle up to me to keep warm as you can see above.

Don't let the picture of me and kids fool you above, although I look fed up, I'm not I'm elated about these little ones! This morning one of them opened it's eyes, but quickly closed them again, It think Wayne should turn off the lights, they might be too bright for them.

I know I shouldn't have favourites but this one here is always cuddling near my face, and he's the biggest one in the litter:

Well, I'll be back later to give you a small story, So check back in the evening.

Meet the kids.....

Hello Holly again!

Sorry for not being able to post myself last night I was extremely exhausted having all these had made me just a little bit tired. I am glad tho that they all pretty much come at once and without any problems.

I have some good new and a little bad to tell you. The good news is that, just after Wayne had posted last night, I had another taking the total to 10 ! The bad news, and I really don't like to give any, but during the early hours I had three more pups, unfortunately they were too weak to make it through. It's both a happy time and a sad time for me, but I need to be there for the remaining ten pups. So all in all I had 13 puppies.

Now to the bit you have been waiting for, I have got Wayne to take pictures of all the pups for you all too see:

So there you have it, they are finally here, and now the task starts to rear them ready to be sent to their new homes. This is the start of the blog where I will share with you my experience of motherhood of the coming weeks.

Sorry I know there is only 9 pictures, one of the pups had escaped so I had to get her back :)

I do hope you will check back tomorrow when I will have more to write about, but for now, I'm going to have a well deserved sleep.

An hour on !

We think they are all here, on my last update I said there were 6 about 10 minutes after 3 more popped out taking our total to nine !

As you can see from the picture above mother and all 9 of her pups are doing excellent, she's having a well deserved rest and giving the pup their first taste of milk.

Check back tomorrow when you will get to meet each one up close and personal!

Now they are here, we're going to track the next 8 - 10 weeks of the pups development. Blogging the development of all nine is going to be a challenge but we aim to bring each one of their stories every single day.

See you all tomorrow

Wayne

Well the moment you have been waiting for!

Hiya Wayne here, Holly has been really off it today for some reason. But at about 8pm one of the first pups emerged !

So far she has had 6 pups 3 boys and 3 girls ! At the time I write this there is a seventh on the way. I'll pop back in an hour to give you more info on them all !

See you all soon

Wayne

Is there any need to get that close....?

The camera man has been about again, I think he got a little bit too close in this picture.

To all the females out there who have experienced labour I feel sorry for you. I think I'm in the first stages of it, Just managed to get out of my basket to write this and update you.

I feel like I'm going to pass out with all this panting, also Ive started to feel some strange sensations going on today. Lets hope they come today, I really want to show them to you all.

I think Wayne is practising his extreme close up, I'm sure he thinks these pups are going to be tiny, Well if he could feel them kicking me on the inside I think he would reconsider!!!!.

I'll be back later on today!

Just catching up with you all !

Wow my blog has 7 Followers, looks like I'm building up a little bit of interest. I hope you are all as exited as I am !

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, we all went out for a drive in the car (not me of course, I'm only a dog), We stopped off near a canal, and there isn't anything more I like than a good old canal where I can go swimming. While the humans (Wayne, Joanne & Katie) wasn't looking, I did a quick dive into the water, I haven't been swimming for a while so thought It would be fun, sure was cold on my belly tho!

I made the humans look silly as well yesterday, I can't jump into the back of the 4x4 any more, can only get my front paws up, they had to pick me up (and it took two of them) and put me in the back of the car, I was laughing all the way home.

They left me on my own for a bit today, in all fairness I was glad of the peace and quiet, one of them is always playing his music and talking on the phone, So it was utter bliss.

The news you have all been waiting for: Still no puppies, they must want to stay in there for a bit longer, mind you I suppose it's warmer in there with the state of the weather at the minute, it rained that hard last night I didn't even want to go out and do my business.

Anyways, I'll catch up with you all soon.

Bye For Now

Hi !

Look at those two down there, can't leave them to do anything for me. Oh well, I'm back for the time being. Haha look at Monkey in the picture with me, I've been treating him like one of my pups, I imagine it's good training for me.

Well today is my 63rd day of being pregnant, I overheard Wayne (I think that's his name anyway) saying that today is the day, apparently creatures like me are only pregnant for 63 days, I'm getting a little scared now wondering what's happening. I'm not tired anymore, and I think I'm being quite annoying to everyone, I can't help it if I want to follow them around the house.

Look at the time Two Minutes Past Twelve ! I should be in bed but can't sleep, they have the heating on full yet I feel cold. I was sick earlier, really don't know why, Arghhh.... Why do I feel like this? Is this how all pregnant females feel when they are due to give birth?

Well I'm off to see if I have left any food in the kitchen.

Update You All Soon!

Update

Hi I am Joanne,

Unfortunately Holly is still too tired to come and write in her blog today, as you read this morning we had a very tiresome night, but still no sign of the puppies!

Right now she is on the floor fast asleep so hopefully she will get some sleep tonight, and be able to return to making her own posts in the morning.

I'm sure Wayne or myself will come on and update you in the morning if she is still to tired.

Take care

Joanne

Hello.....

Hello, I'm Wayne, one of Holly's so called Humans, I wish she would use my name from time to time.

Unfortunately Holly is too tired to write in her blog today. We all had a tiresome night, and the signs are pointing towards that they might come today. Hopefully Ill be able to bring you some exclusive pictures when they arrive.

I'm not sure how many she's going to have yet or the colours of them, We have guesstimate's at around 6-7.

As soon as they start to arrive I'll post up and let you see them.

Take Care

Wayne

Just a quick hello.....

Hi Guys,

Sorry I haven't been about for a bit, yesterday everywhere was utter chaos, there were flashes, bangs, whizzes and all sorts of strange things going on outside. I would have preferred to go out and see what the deal was but I was confined to the cage, oh well sounds like the humans were having fun.

There's still no progress on the pup front. To be honest one day merges into the next without me noticing, I'm just sleeping all the time. I'm that big I can't even get to lay on the sofa now (they will be happy).

Anyways it's time for breakfast so that's all for now, I'll keep you posted :)

Look how big I am !

Wow, I walked past a mirror this morning for the first time in ages and ages. My belly is huge! One of the humans took this picture below to show you just how big I am.

Those kids in there must be really really big now.

I'm not really wanting to eat my own food now, but I'm hungry still. If I let you into a secret do you promise not to tell any of the humans who I live with? Well, one of them left a plate on the floor with a poached egg muffin on while he went to answer the phone and when he wasn't looking, I ate it (I don't think he's noticed tho - so it's our secret)

Oh well, looks like I'm off for a walk he's putting his coat on, so I'll post again tonight.

See you soon.

Still no sign

I'm pretty sure they should be here by now, but I can still see those little tykes kicking away in my belly.

This morning when I posted I sure wanted to just lay in my basket all day and not move, and you know what? I did just that.

One of the humans here is really annoying, always pointing a camera in my face. Still he puts the pictures here on my blog for you all to see, so I guess that's a good thing.

Not going to keep you all this evening and I'll post some news as and when it develops.

Bye for now.

Lets hope they come soon.....

Hello again!

I'm wishing these little pups will come soon, I was up all night as they were all kicking about in my tummy. I feel sorry for the human females who have to go through this.

I've noticed a few things changing too, They all seem to have moved down a little more into my belly over the past few days and let me tell you it's huge, In fact it's that big I really don't feel like walking around it.

All I want to do today is lay down and try to get some sleep, as I know something big is going to happen soon and it will take all my energy.

The humans started to feed me puppy food again today, I just think they're strange, I'm not a puppy anymore! Oh well I suppose it's for a reason.

I'll let you know how I have got on today, in my post this evening. See you all then.

I just thought I'd let you know

I almost forgot to tell you about the daddy to my unborn pups.

His name is Alfie, he used to live with us, but because we didn't have the room to keep both Alfie and I the humans had to re-home him. But that's OK he has gone to a really nice home just down the road from where I live.

A few nights ago I went to visit him and his new family just to say hi! Anyway here is a picture of my best friend and my babies dad, Alfie.

Almost There.....

Hello, I'm Holly a Labrador.

Almost 60 days ago, something happened that's gonna change my life forever.

As it stands at the moment I'm almost due to have my baby pups. I wanted to share my experience with everyone from the birth right the way through until it's time for them to be re-homed and hopefully a catch up a few months after that.

I'll blog daily with how I'm getting on from this point onwards and will post exclusive pictures as and when the humans take them.

More to come tomorrow
